Notes from Scott County Humane Society

❤️ Meet Ben! ❤️

Ben is a little survivor looking for his forever home. He was abandoned in a parking lot and had to survive on his own before being rescued. When he first came to us, he was terrified of people and would bite out of fear.

But look at him now!

Ben is learning to trust. He comes out to explore, plays on the bed, and recently even came up to my hand and gave it a gentle little nibble. And when he climbed to the top of his cage and couldn’t get down, I offered him my bare hands —and he willingly climbed onto them and let me lower him safely down. ❤️

Ben still needs someone patient who will let him build trust at his own pace, but he is proving every day what a sweet, curious little guy he can be.

This boy has come so far. He just needs someone to show him that he is finally safe. ❤️

Could you be Ben’s forever person?
