Notes from Contra Costa Rabbit Rescue

Say hello to Jupiter! Don't let his special needs fool you—this resilient boy is wonderfully friendly, with a gentle soul and a heart as big as the sky.

Jupiter is a special-needs bun due to a previously healed fracture in one of his back legs. He gets around with a limp, and he requires a little extra thoughtful care to keep him happy, safe, and thriving.

Jupiter is an affectionate companion who loves human interaction and adores getting gentle head pets!

To protect his joints and keep him comfortable, Jupiter requires VetBed flooring in his exercise pen setup.

To help him maintain his independence and great litter habits, he needs a low-entry litter box that is easy for him to step into without straining his back leg.

Jupiter requires delicate, supportive handling when being picked up or moved. He thrives with calm, patient human companions who take things slow and ensure he feels safe.

Jupiter would love to have a rabbit companion, but because of his leg, he needs a very calm, low-energy bunny friend who won't injure him. A mellow, sweet partner would be his dream match!

Jupiter is looking for a low-impact, loving home that can provide a padded x-pen setup, low-entry accommodations, and a quiet environment tailored to his mobility needs. If you have a soft spot for special-needs rabbits, love giving head pets, and have a cozy spot in your home (and maybe a relaxed single bunny in search of a friend), Jupiter is ready to meet you!
