Notes from Central Arizona Animal Rescue

Hi, I'm Aster & I'm a package deal with my bun partner, Leila!

We’re a 4-year-old brother-and-sister bonded pair of Rexes, best friends, roommates, and basically an old married couple at this point. We’re both confident, curious, and surprisingly quick to decide that new people aren’t so bad — one of our volunteers earned petting privileges within just 15 minutes of meeting us! Let us out to explore and we’re immediately off investigating every inch of our surroundings together. And as Rexes, we also happen to come equipped with ridiculously soft, velvety fur. You’re welcome.

As fun as we are individually, the real magic is getting to watch us together. We cuddle, groom each other, explore side-by-side, and generally spend our days being ridiculously in love. We’ve been bonded for a long time, so we’re a package deal and

must be adopted together

— but really, why settle for one bunny when you can bring home an entire tiny love story? If you’re looking for two sweet, adventurous companions who already come with their very own best friend, we’d love to meet you!

For information on fees and adoption, please e-mail Lisa at lisab@caaronline.org. All rabbit adoptions are done by appointment only and in North Glendale (not at the San Tan Valley location).

What happens next

  1. Contact Central Arizona Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Central Arizona Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the rabbits care guide so you arrive prepared.
