Notes from Olive Branch Animal Rescue & Refuge, Inc.

Hello Friends! My name is Raya, my brother and I came in as strays and sadly were never claimed... I am a shy little girl at first but once I get to know you I am all over you and giving you kisses! I am blind and have a genetic conditon called "microphthalmia" which is a disorder related to development that manifests as one or both eyes having a smaller diameter than normal. This condition can be accompanied by various issues such as corneal malformation, a smaller orbit, eyelid abnormalities, and, to a lesser extent, blindness. The two leading physical symptoms of microphthalmia include a third eyelid and small, recessed eyes. I have been Spayed, vaccinated, current on preventives and all negative on my heartworm combo test. If your willing to give me a chance please go to our website: olivebranchwv.org and fill out an application. I hope to see you soon!
