Notes from Humane Society of Burnett County

Brucey is a 3-year-old Lab mix with a story that’s still being written. Found as a stray, he spent some time in a foster home before finding himself back in a shelter. The shelter environment has been stressful for him, and he’s feeling anxious with all the changes and commotion around him. Brucey deserves a chance to feel safe, settled, and loved again. A shelter can be an overwhelming place, and we know that the real Brucey may shine brightest when he’s back in a home where he can relax and let his personality come through. He’s looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him time to decompress, build trust, and adjust at his own pace. In return, you could be the person who changes his story from a stray searching for safety to a beloved family member who finally has a place to call home. ❤️ If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/

  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
