Notes from Humane Society of Burnett County

Teddy is a 4-month old terrier mix looking for a family to give him lots of love, attention, time, & effort! Puppies are a big commitment and take lots of work but the payoff is worth it! He is at the perfect age to start training and acclimating to different environments to make sure he ends up the perfect dog! *A refundable spay deposit of $50 is required and adopter will receive a voucher for surgery at Grantsburg Animal Hospital. After completion of surgery, the deposit is returned. If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/

What happens next

  1. Contact Humane Society of Burnett County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Humane Society of Burnett County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
