Notes from Humane Society of Burnett County

Chico is a 2-year-old Heeler with a big personality and an even bigger heart. After spending time as a stray, he's learning what it means to be part of a family and enjoys being close to his people. He's affectionate, loyal, and loves companionship once he's comfortable with you. Like many intelligent working breeds, Chico values his person and prefers to not be left alone. he absolutely loves attention and would appreciate a human that will love him endlessly. Chico is looking for a patient, confident adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement training. In return, he'll be a devoted companion with plenty of character and spirit. Because of his handling sensitivities, a home with older or respectful children may be the best fit. If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
