Notes from Dog Gone Seattle Rescue

THE MASTADORS: When our rescue partner Washington Health Outreach sent a desperate please from a Washington property with 90+ dogs and several recent litters of Lab Mastiff mixes (aka Mastadors) we had to help. We have taken in 11 and counting.

Animal Information: Meet Philo, an estimated 9 month old male Labrador Mastiff mix with a gorgeous sleek brindle and soulful eyes. He is around 70 lbs and growing. He has no aggressive tendencies toward humans and has lived with a large number of other dogs. We will share more info after he decompresses and we get to know him in foster care.

Notes: Philo has been staying at our rescue community center while awaiting foster placement. The leash was completely novel to him but he has taken very well to leash training. He's also crate trained and is quiet and calm in his crate. He has shown no signs of resource guarding and has met and played appropriately with several dogs. He is working on his basic obedience training.
