Notes from Rompin Paws Rescue

️ MEET CHARLIE: The Conversationalist Who Wants to Be Your Best Friend! ️

He missed out on early puppy socialization, but he has his mom's incredibly loving heart. He just needs a patient family who loves to "chat" and play in the yard to help his true colors shine!

Looking for a unique, low-riding companion with a big personality? Meet Charlie, a handsome 18-month-old, short-legged "Dorgi" (Dachshund & Corgi mix)! Charlie is a special young guy who is looking for a dedicated partner to help him unlock his full potential. He didn't get the best socialization as a puppy, which means he is naturally shy and reserved at first. But don't let that fool you—he is bursting with love and desperately wants to connect!

Charlie’s secret weapon for making friends? He is a total talker! The more you chat back, engage with him, and include him in your daily routine, the faster his walls crumble.

✨ The Charlie Charm (Why He’s Worth the Wait):

The Master Communicator: Charlie uses the sweetest vocalizations to "talk" to his humans. He’ll greet you in the morning, give you a full report when you come home from grocery trips, and politely let you know when he’s ready for a chat.

It’s in His DNA: Charlie's mom has the absolute best, most affectionate personality. That same loving spark is deep inside Charlie—he just needs a consistent, loving routine to bring it out confidently.

Yard Zoomie Partner: He absolutely thrives on fun, daily interactions in a secure space. Once he gets to know you, running around and playing games in a fenced yard is his absolute favorite way to bond.

Charlie’s Recipe for Success:

A Built-In Dog Buddy: Charlie does best when he has another dog to lean on! He can be adopted with his handsome bonded brother, Cody, or placed in a home with an existing friendly, similarly sized dog guide.

Consistency & Interaction: He is looking for a patient, low-traffic adult home (or with respectful kids 12+) where people are excited to engage with him daily through play, conversation, and hands-on trust-building.

A Securely Fenced Yard: A non-negotiable safe haven where he can run, play, and safely practice his leash and harness training without outside pressure.

No Small Pets: Charlie prefers a household with no cats or pocket pets, please!

Bringing home a young dog who needs a little guidance is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Every milestone—the first time he talks to you, his first yard game, his first voluntary snuggle—will feel like winning the lottery!

Package Deal Pricing (Double the Short-Legged Love!):

Charlie Solo: $450 (Must have another similar-sized dog at home)

Bonded Brother Pair (Charlie & Cody): $595 total!
