Are you a fan of the clever, independent, and spunky Jack Russell personality? Meet Kiwi, a handsome 8-year-old mix looking for a stable, loving home to settle into for good. Kiwi sadly came to Senior Dogs and Friends after his elderly owner passed away, and he is entirely ready to find a new family to protect and adore.
The Perfect Sidekick:
Kiwi is housebroken, exceptionally smart, and rarely barks! He is the ultimate work-from-home partner; he is happy to relax all day and will gladly curl up in your lap while you work or watch TV. He also absolutely loves car rides, playing fetch with his favorite ball, and chewing on his Elk antlers.
His Custom Lifestyle Profile:
The Pack: Kiwi should be the only prince in the home or paired with sweet, small female dogs. He cannot live with male dogs, cats, or small animals due to a classic Jack Russell prey drive.
The Humans: Kiwi does best in an adult-only home where he can take things at his own pace.
Exercise & Health: Kiwi has some minor spine issues that cause occasional discomfort. His care is very simple to manage—he takes a daily medication and thrives on short, regular walks rather than intense hikes.
A Training Superstar: While Kiwi used to react to other dogs on leashes when he first left the shelter, his dedicated training has paid off! He now walks calmly past other dogs every single day.
