Notes from Rompin Paws Rescue

Meet Lexxi: The Gentle Tricolor Princess Ready to Bloom!

If you have a heart for the quiet ones—the sensitive souls who just need a safe, patient sanctuary to show them that the world is a beautiful place—meet Lexxi! Relaxing at our ranch in Arlington, WA , this 1.5-year-old, 15-pound Dachshund-Corgi mix ("Dorgi") is a stunning black-and-tricolor beauty waiting for her happily ever after.

Lexxi's life started with a lot of heavy chapters. She was found surviving on the rough streets of Fresno, California, running with a stray pack alongside her mom, Libby. After being caught and facing a heartbreaking overcrowding crisis at the shelter, our rescue stepped in to save them. Now that the chaos is behind her, this incredibly sweet, quiet girl is finally ready to let her guard down and trust.

✨ Why Lexxi is an Absolute Treasure:

The Ultimate Couch Companion: Lexxi is the quieter of her family pack and absolutely loves relaxing on the couch. She is impressively well-mannered, peaceful, and the perfect buddy for low-key movie nights and cozy afternoon naps.

Blooming Day by Day: Now that she is out of the loud shelter environment, Lexxi is slowly coming out of her shell. Watching a young, sensitive dog gain her confidence and learn to smile is the most rewarding feeling in the world.{C} {C}

The Sweetest Friend: She is an easygoing, gentle soul who gives wonderful companionship. While she won't be a guard dog, she will be a deeply devoted partner in life.

A Built-In Safety Net: To make sure it's a perfect match, we offer a Foster-to-Adopt period ! This gives you plenty of time to bond with Lexxi while our rescue team backs you up with ongoing training tips, support, and guidance.

Lexxi’s Dream Home Checklist:

A Calm, Adult Sanctuary: Because of her past trauma and anxiety, Lexxi needs a quiet, peaceful home without children.

A Patient Guide for Walks: Lexxi technically knows how to walk on a leash, but because our ranch has large wild predators (like bears and cougars!), we don't do formal walks here. Her adopter will need to reintroduce her to a harness slowly and gently indoors or in a secure yard using lots of yummy treats.

The Power of a Mentor: Lexxi relies heavily on other dogs to feel brave. She would be overjoyed to be adopted with her beloved mom, Libby ! If she flies solo, she must go to a home with another friendly, gentle dog to help mentor her.

Winning Her Trust: Lexxi naturally trusts women first and is a bit afraid of men. If there is a man in her future home, he can easily win her heart by leading her feeding routine, offering treats by hand, and using a soft, gentle voice.
