Notes from Rompin Paws Rescue

Meet Libby: From Brave Street Mama to Your Future Couch Queen!

If you have been searching for a loyal, fiercely loving companion to completely spoil, you have got to meet Libby! At 3 years young and 15 pounds , this beautiful Dachshund-Corgi mix ("Dorgi") is a resilient survivor with a heart of pure gold.

Libby’s backstory is straight out of an inspiring movie. She was found surviving on the rough streets of Fresno, California, bravely protecting and caring for her puppies. She was a phenomenal mama, but now that her pups are safe and grown, it is finally Libby’s turn to be the pampered baby.

✨ Why Libby is an Absolute Treasure:

The Ultimate Girl’s Girl: Libby absolutely adores women! If you’re a lady looking for a devoted companion to share your morning coffee and couch sessions with, Libby is your perfect match. (She can warm up to gentle, dog-friendly men over time, too!).

The Two-Week Transformation: Because of her street past, she plays it cool at first and prefers not to be scooped up right away. But give her just 2 to 3 weeks of patience, and the magic happens! She will happily crawl close for gentle kisses, demand couch cuddles, and eagerly let you pick her up.

Ready for Adventures: While she loves relaxing at home, show her a harness and give her a little encouragement, and she transforms into a joyful little explorer ready to sniff the neighborhood by your side!

Low-Maintenance Sweetheart: Libby is totally content being your one-and-only spoiled princess, or she can easily share her space with other calm, small-breed dogs.

Libby’s Dream Home Checklist:

A Peaceful Sanctuary: Libby is looking for a calm, low-traffic, adult-only home (no kids, please) where she can fully let her guard down.

Dog Companionship: Big, high-energy dogs make her nervous. She needs a home with no large dogs, though she thrives as an only dog or with other calm, small pups.

A Mother-Daughter Bonus? Libby’s darling 1-year-old daughter, Lexxi , is also at our rescue! If you have room in your heart for a mother-daughter dream team, they can be adopted together. If not, Libby is completely ready to fly solo and capture your heart on her own.
