Notes from Humane Society of Warren County
Meet Zuma! Zuma is a 1 year 4 month old Shar Pei mix who is looking for a special person willing to help her learn that the world isn't such a scary place. Zuma is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She needs to be the only animal in the home and would do best in a home without children. A quiet, calm household with low traffic would be ideal for this nervous girl. While new people and new situations can make Zuma nervous, once you are HER person, you'll see her affectionate side come shining through. She loves her people and wants to feel safe and secure with them. She would benefit tremendously from positive, patient training to help her navigate her feelings, build confidence, and learn that new experiences don't have to be scary. And there's plenty of fun underneath that nervous exterior! Zuma knows basic commands, walks well on leash, LOVES toys, enjoys riding in the car, and has a blast outside running around and getting her energy out. Zuma isn't looking for a busy household or a home that expects her to instantly love everyone. She's looking for someone patient who will give her the time, structure, and understanding she needs to blossom. If you think you could be Zuma's safe place and help her discover the world isn't so bad, come meet this sweet girl! Interested in adopting?
