Notes from Community Animal Welfare Society

Meet Ophelia! Your future snuggle buddy! Ophelia is a sweet little lovebug who just wants a person to call her own. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, her happy, bouncy personality shines! She enjoys walks, is gaining confidence with new adventures, and is happiest curled up next to her favorite person. Ophelia gets along well with dogs and cats but doesn't need another pet to be happy. She's perfectly content being your one-and-only sidekick! She's also house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. Ophelia is currently 22 pounds and could stand to lose a few, with an ideal weight around 18 pounds. We suspect she's a Chihuahua, French Bulldog, and Corgi mix — a whole lot of cuteness in one little package! If you're looking for a loving companion who will happily keep your lap warm, Ophelia might just be your girl. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application

What happens next

  1. Contact Community Animal Welfare Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Community Animal Welfare Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
