Notes from Rescue Rovers Dog Adoptions

Meet Shia

Shia is a 9-month-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix who is currently around 48 pounds. She is a little on the thin side right now, so we are working on putting some healthy weight on her. She is also working on house training and isn’t quite there yet, but she is making great progress. She does really well in her kennel and is learning more every day.

Shia is seriously the sweetest, goofiest girl. She loves other dogs, is friendly with people, and would love a home that can continue helping her build her confidence. She can be a little leery of new things at first, but once she gets comfortable, her sweet and goofy personality really comes out.

Malinois are a different kind of dog, and anyone interested in Shia should understand the commitment that comes with the breed. They are extremely intelligent, high-energy dogs that need consistent training, structure, mental stimulation, and exercise. This is not a “one walk a day” kind of dog. Shia needs someone who is ready to put in the time and continue working with her.

With the right person, Malinois and Shepherds are incredibly loyal and make amazing companions. Shia has so much potential and is at the perfect age to learn and grow with her person. She just needs someone willing to give her the structure, confidence, training, and love she deserves. Apply today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
