Notes from Rescue Rovers Dog Adoptions

Meet Figgy Smalls! This sweet 2-year-old Chihuahua mix is looking for someone to be her safe place.

Figgy can be very shy and fearful when first meeting new people and needs a couple of days to warm up. But once she learns she can trust you, you’ll have the sweetest little shadow who loves being the center of your attention. Her ideal day involves snuggling her favorite person, burrowing into cozy blankets, and lounging around the house. She’s not much of an adventurer and would much rather be held than go for a walk, although she’s learning that the leash isn’t so scary!

Figgy is potty trained, but she may have a little nervous or excited tinkle when greeting you. She does great in her crate but would much rather cuddle with you. She has done well with other dogs, though dogs closer to her size would be best since larger or more energetic dogs may scare her. She would also do best in a home without children or with older, respectful kids who understand that she needs time and patience to feel safe.

Figgy might not be the girl who runs straight into your arms on day one, but give her a little time and you’ll see just how much love she has to give. She deserves someone willing to look past her fears and show her that the world can be a safe place.

Could you be the person Figgy Smalls has been waiting for?
