Notes from Rescue Rovers Dog Adoptions

Ciao! I’m Accona —named after the beautiful Accona Desert in Italy! I’m a 9-month-old, 35-pound Shar-Pei mix ready to find my forever family. I might grow a little more, but I’ll likely stay a pretty manageable size. Think of me as the perfect travel companion for life’s little adventures!

I’m a fun-loving girl with a little bit of everything in my repertoire. I love playing with toys, going for walks, exploring the world, and then kicking back for some quality lounging time. One of my favorite things in the world is walks, so I’d love to join you for neighborhood strolls, outdoor adventures, or your daily passeggiata (that’s Italian for a leisurely walk — I’m cultured like that!).

I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I need a patient person who will help me build my confidence and show me that humans really are pretty great. Give me a little time and kindness, and my sweet, playful personality will start to shine.

Other dogs? Si! I absolutely love my canine friends and would be thrilled to have a furry sibling to play with and learn from. It’s not a requirement, though — I’m open to being your one and only as long as I get plenty of love and social time.

I’m working hard on my potty training and am getting SO close to mastering it! I’m also okay with kids, but older or calmer kiddos would probably be the best fit since I can be a little nervous when things are new.

One thing I’m still practicing is being comfortable alone in my crate. I much prefer being near my people (can you blame me?), so I’ll need a family willing to help me learn that being alone for a little while isn’t so scary.

At the end of the day, I’m just a sweet girl looking for someone to love me, help me feel brave, and show me what forever feels like. If you have a little patience, some toys to share, and lots of love to give, I promise to bring plenty of dolce vita (the sweet life!) into your world.
