Meet Freedom

Freedom's story is heartbreaking, but we are hopeful that his future will be filled with the love and kindness he has always deserved.

Before coming to us, Freedom suffered from severe neglect. He arrived in terrible condition: painfully thin, covered in fleas and ticks, and carrying a wound around his neck from being tethered to a tree. It's hard to imagine what this sweet dog endured, but despite everything, Freedom has never stopped wanting to be loved.

Today, Freedom is safe, cared for, and learning that not all people will let him down.

Because of his past, Freedom can be shy and timid, especially in new situations. He takes time to trust and feels most comfortable when people move at his pace. But if you're patient, you'll see glimpses of the loving dog hiding beneath his uncertainty. He wants affection. He wants companionship. Most of all, he wants to know that he is finally safe.

Freedom is looking for a very special adopter. He needs someone who is patient, compassionate, and understanding, someone who will celebrate the small victories and help him continue building confidence. The family he chooses will need to understand that trust is earned, but once you've earned it, the bond you build with Freedom will be incredibly meaningful.

Watching a dog like Freedom learn to feel secure, loved, and happy is one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable. He has already survived the hardest part of his journey. Now he just needs someone to help him write a better ending.

His adoption fee is $400.

Because we don't observe our animals in home settings, we aren't able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.

Upon intake, every animal receives:

Spay/neuter surgery Microchip All age-appropriate vaccinations Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed) Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention A complimentary wellness exam 7-10 days after adoption

Adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility.

Freedom has spent enough of his life wondering if anyone cared. Now he's looking for a family that will show him, every single day, that he matters. If you have the patience to help a frightened dog become confident again, Freedom may be waiting for you.
