Notes from Great Pyrenees Rescue Society

Meet Heath, a wonderfully sweet "badger boy" with a beautiful, slightly curly coat who is looking for his perfect forever family! As part of our "Sweet Treat" litter born right here in our rescue care, Heath has been raised with hands-on love from the very beginning, making him remarkably calm, smart, and responsive to human affection. He is a gentle soul who is perhaps a bit more thoughtful and reserved than his energetic littermates, making him an absolute dream for someone who loves a balanced pup. Heath truly adores his cuddle time and loves a good play session, but he is equally happy to slow down, relax, and contentedly chew on a nice stick. If you are looking for a loving, steady companion with fantastic genetics and a sweet disposition, Heath is ready to bring a lifetime of devotion to your home.

Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350, The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350.

What happens next

  1. Contact Great Pyrenees Rescue Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
