Notes from Dallas Animal Services

Dolly is a dog in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support. She has ongoing right front (RF) lameness despite prolonged treatment and requires further veterinary evaluation and diagnostics to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment plan. Dolly would benefit from a stable environment where she can receive continued veterinary care, additional diagnostics, and any recommended treatment. Unfortunately, the ongoing nature of her lameness and the need for further evaluation are beyond our current scope of care. Dolly is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our ability to address. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Dolly, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov. When emailing, please include a callback number.

What happens next

  1. Contact Dallas Animal Services using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Dallas Animal Services, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
