Notes from A Doggie 4 You

Meet Boots

Boots and his brother, McGee, are in rescue through no fault of their own. Their mom lost her home and was absolutely devastated that she could no longer keep her beloved boys. She wants nothing more than for both of them to find happy, loving forever homes where they will be safe and cared for.

Boots is a little older than his brother and may need some extra time to feel comfortable in a new environment. He might growl at first when he is unsure or nervous, but please don’t let that scare you away. Boots needs patience, understanding, and the chance to settle in at his own pace. He has been through a major change in his life, and he deserves someone who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and secure.

Boots gets along well with other dogs, which may be a bonus for a home with a calm, friendly canine companion. Once he has time to adjust and learn that he is safe, he will have the opportunity to show his true personality.

Boots is currently in Texas but can travel to Washington, Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast. If transportation is needed, there is an additional $250 transport fee. Due to state regulations, dogs cannot travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.

His adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 for heartworm prevention and Bravecto for flea and tick prevention.

If you have a kind heart, a patient approach, and a safe home to offer, Boots may be the companion you’ve been waiting for. Apply to adopt at www.adoggie4you.org.
