Notes from Roxy's K-9 Rescue

FREDA is a 9 month old, 9 pounds terrier of some sort. We really cannot figure out what she is mixed with. I probably should do a DNA test on her. She looks just like her mother who is a few pounds smaller. FREDA was owner surrendered as the pregnancy was an accident litter. The word that comes to me when I think about FREDA is "soft", her coat is soft, her attitude/temperament is soft, she takes treats soft, she plays soft and her overall behavior is just soft. She is a sweetheart of a dog who plays with all of the other foster dogs, she is kind of submissive but not timid as she wrestles and can hold her on while playing. FREDA loves everyone, gives kisses and loves to snuggle even when there is really no space around my legs, she squeezes in and find a spot! I will have to get better pictures of her but she is always moving and playing. She would make a great family dog, she will remain a small breed scruffy dog. There are no cats in the home so we do not know how she would get along with them but she is just super soft so we cannot imagine her not getting along with a cat, she'll probably try to play with a cat. If you would like to adopt FREDA, please submit an application on the website below. Feel free to call me anytime. Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org

What happens next

  1. Contact Roxy's K-9 Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Roxy's K-9 Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
