Notes from Hillcrest Animal Rescue

Sweet Fleming got to us in terrible condition - his skin was infected, and he had hair loss; he was heartworm positive, emaciated, and had no energy. We thought he was going to be a hospice case, but he has excelled in his recovery. His skin has healed; his coat is still a bit coarse but growing in and getting softer; his heartworm infestation has been treated, and he is now a happy, energetic senior boy ready for a forever home. Fleming lives with lots of other dogs and likes most everyone but no cats for this boy. He loves humans of all ages, and getting attention is his top of two favorite things, food being second. He is house- and crate-trained, has great house manners, and is good on a leash. He is a good traveler and would love to go out to socialize with his humans. If you have a place in your heart for senior pups and love big dogs, Fleming could be exactly what you are looking for. He is fully vetted - neutered, current with vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
