Notes from American Boston Terrier Rescue

Dorothy, our Golden Girl, is a complete sweetheart! She was originally found in a drainage ditch in Ft. Smith, AR, and when no owner came forward to claim her, she joined our Foster Gang in Texas.

Dorothy is an older lady, and as such, her sight and hearing are not 100%, but she is full of life and has a terrific attitude - unless you try to wipe her face, which is NOT her favorite thing, and she'll let you know it.

Her initial vetting has been taken care of, but she's still got some things that need to be taken care of, so she isn't available for adoption right this minute. We will, however, be accepting applications so she will hopefully have a home ready and waiting for her after she's completely cleared by the vet for adoption.

Dorothy is available for our Seniors for Seniors adoption program.

What happens next

  1. Contact American Boston Terrier Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to American Boston Terrier Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
