Notes from Texas Sporting Breed Rescue, Inc.

Meet Murphy , a handsome 7-month-old liver-colored German Shorthaired Pointer with energy to burn and adventures to find!

Murphy loves to run, chase squirrels, work his nose, play with friends, and explore everything the world has to offer . Once the fun is over, he’s more than happy to settle in for some quality cuddle time. ❤️ He’s also a great car rider , making him the perfect copilot for wherever the next adventure leads.

Like any young GSP, Murphy is looking for an active family committed to burning off that sporting-dog energy, continuing his training, and keeping his smart brain busy . Give this boy exercise, structure, nose work, and plenty of new adventures, and you’ll have one very happy Murphy.

If your idea of a good time includes muddy paws, squirrel patrol, road trips, and a tired GSP curled up beside you, Murphy may be your guy! ️
