Notes from Austin Boxer Rescue

8/27/2026Duke XI is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Duke XI! I am a handsome 8 year old fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my family moving and not wanting me in the new home. I am described as friendly, active, protective, playful, affectionate, nervous, and obedient! It is important I have a dog and kid free home because I can be very stingy with my food and do not like people or dogs taking it away from me. I am house trained, crate trained, and sleeps anywhere near humans. I am not a fan of being left alone if the humans are away and will be sad. I am afraid of fireworks and my humans take precautions when they go off to help me know I'm safe and ok. When outside I do not attempt to jump fences/gates but I am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, rubberballs, and pig ears! If you think I would make a great addition to your family contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
