Notes from Scout's Honor Rescue

What a character this girl is! Meet Daphne

Daphne was heartbreakingly left behind by her owner after apparently being kept outside in the yard and no longer wanted. Despite everything, this beautiful girl has remained nothing but sweet, loving, and full of life. Daphne deserves a family who will truly cherish her, spend time with her, and show her what real love feels like.

During our shelter pull, we noticed a note on her kennel card that had incorrect information on it. Of course, we had to see for ourselves — and Daphne completely proved that note wrong. She was absolutely PERFECT during her temp test. No aggression whatsoever, just a happy-go-lucky girl eager to make friends with every dog she met.

We think Daphne is a Collie/Shepherd mix and she’s around 2 years old, maybe even younger. She is incredibly sweet, eager to please, and has such a fun personality. Daphne is currently in boarding, but we would love nothing more than to get this sweet girl into a foster home where she can finally relax and feel loved

Please consider adopting Daphne and giving her the second chance she deserves - visit www.scoutshonor.org for more information.

What happens next

  1. Contact Scout's Honor Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Scout's Honor Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
