Notes from Operation Pets Alive

Meet Sweet Maple!

Maple and her sister, Sequoia, were rescued from a difficult situation in Spring a few months ago. Both girls had recently raised litters of puppies and were heartworm positive. Their puppies have since found homes, and Maple and Sequoia have completed their heartworm treatment. Now it’s finally their turn to find families of their own. ❤️

Maple is an incredibly sweet girl who can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a few hours and her adorable personality quickly starts to shine. She loves showing off her belly for rubs and rolling around in the grass to scratch her back.

Maple also enjoys playing with other dogs and is currently being very well cared for at Houndstown while she waits for a home.

After raising her puppies and completing heartworm treatment, Maple is ready for someone to take care of her for a change. She is looking for either a foster home or a forever family where she can feel safe, loved, and spoiled.

Could Maple be the sweet girl your family has been waiting for?

What happens next

  1. Contact Operation Pets Alive using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Operation Pets Alive, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
