Notes from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue

Meet Percy!

Percy was found as a stray in Martin, TN, after following his foster mom’s daughter home during a run. Despite a difficult past that included an old injury, being shot at, and heartworm disease, Percy is now healthy, has completed heartworm treatment, and is ready for his forever home.

Percy is a sweet, friendly boy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children of all ages. He is fully house trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. He knows several commands, including sit, shake, down, and wait. He loves tennis balls, frisbees, treats, and being close to his people.

Percy is generally quiet, settles down quickly after greeting you, and enjoys sleeping near his family at night.

Because of his past, Percy is very frightened by gunshots and fireworks and may try to run when scared. He must be walked in a secure harness and needs a physically fenced yard where he can safely play.

Percy does well with other dogs but should not live with chickens. He has not been tested with cats.

Percy is looking for a loving, patient family who will help him feel safe and give him the happy life he deserves.
