Notes from Dakota Dachshund Rescue

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. We DO NOT have a physical shelter. Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it. Abby and Violet came to DDR because their mom has some health issues and can no longer care for them. These sweet girls will celebrate their 16th birthday July 25th. They are besties, they are sisters that have always lived together and need to stay together. They are lively girls, love to run in the fenced back yard, drink out of the swimming pool and take naps together. Abby does have a heart murmur, she is on heart meds but it doesn't slow her down. Abby's adoption fee is $250 + sales tax $11.25=$261.25 Violet's adoption fee is $250 + sales tax $11.25= $261.25So together they are $522.50

My adoption fee help with my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental and microchipping.

What happens next

  1. Contact Dakota Dachshund Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Dakota Dachshund Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
