Here’s Your Quick Peek:

Every once in a while, a dog's photo comes up. We know our shelter partners are being forced to make very hard decisions and we can't help all. But we can help one - and it makes a difference to that one. Paprika is one of those dogs. Paprika is a sweet, gentle girl who came to CPR from Pickens County Animal Shelter after being found as a stray. She loves running around outside with her dog friends and enjoys exploring the yard. She doesn't invite you in right away but once she feels safe, she opens up beautifully. Paprika LOVES food, which makes training fun and easy. She’s smart, eager to learn, and already picking up crate training quickly.

Must have: patient adopter, gentle environment, fenced yard preferred

Exercise: moderate — daily walks, playtime, and outdoor activity

Best with: adults or families with older children; calm, kind homes

Not ideal for: chaotic or high‑energy households

Energy level: medium — playful, affectionate, gentle

Paprika is a loving, smart girl who thrives with patience and kindness. True to breed, she will try to herd her people or other pets. She’s ready to find her forever family and show them her sweet side. Her caregivers describe her as affectionate, playful, and full of potential — a little “sweet spice” ready to blossom in a loving home.

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: Unknown - We would say older kids. 12+

Cats: Unknown - Will be tested.

Fun fact: Paprika LOVES food — it’s the fastest way to her heart! She’s smart, eager to learn, and will make training fun and rewarding. This is a young, healthy dog. Yes, she sheds (her breed does that) but if you don't have allergies, and your looking for a nice midsized buddy to make part of your life, Paprika says she's applying for the job!
