Here's Your Quick Peek: Marcel is a sweet little Yorkshire Terrier / Pappillion mix who lives for attention, companionship, and being close to his people. Must have: A family committed to providing companionship and affection. A home where someone is around much of the time would be ideal, a family that will provide Marcel with regular dental care.
Exercise: Moderate daily walks and opportunities to explore. Marcel enjoys being with his people and does not require intense exercise.
Best with: Adults or families looking for an affectionate companion. Does well with men, women, children, and other dogs. He may especially enjoy a home with another dog companion.
Not ideal for: Homes looking for a highly independent dog or those where he would be alone for long periods.
Energy level: Moderate. Marcel enjoys attention, companionship, and spending time with his people but is not described as high energy.
Marcel is a 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier / Pappillion who has adjusted well to rescue life after losing his owner. He has been medically evaluated and is healthy overall, though he has Grade III dental disease and is cleared for adoption following dental care. Please note that given his breed mix, Marcel is not hypoallergenic.
Good with dogs: Yes. Friendly with both large and small dogs and has shown a close bond with another CPR dog, Luis/Louie.
Good with kids: Yes, according to caregiver observations.
Cats: Unknown, not tested.
Fun fact: Marcel's favorite pastime is following his people everywhere and climbing into laps for extra cuddles and attention.
