Meet Dewey!

This handsome dude is ready to fill your life with adventure and love! Dewey has the sweetest face that says I'm all yours.

If your looking for an outgoing companion that loves going places, hiking, running, going for walks and meeting new people look no further! And when the adventures are over Dewey is happy to chill and enjoys lap time. He is in a foster home with multiple other dogs and doing well. He would love to have another canine companion or regular playdates with dogs.

He is a great house guest and is house trained, he will ring a bell to let you know he needs to go out! He can be left alone for 4-6 hours in a confined space and is non-destructive. He has been around kids of all ages and has done well.

We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn skills together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog.

We are still learning how Dewey does with cats and children and Dewey, like all puppies, is still in process of leash learning. He is in foster with 3 other dogs and is doing great!

Dewey 's Story: Dewey was found and rescued from a pond by his foster.

Medical Note: This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia and showed symptoms consistent with an active infection. This dog has been treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline and all symptoms have resolved. This dog is ready for adoption, though may continue to test positive for exposure to ehrlichia for some time. There is also a chance that the symptoms could recur and/or additional treatment be needed. Please see here for more information on ehrlichia, and please check with your vet before you apply to adopt this dog if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
