Trixie is an owner surrender who has perfected the art of enjoying the finer things in life: good food, comfy lounging, and absolutely no unnecessary cardio.

This sweet girl is now looking for a new human who is willing to lovingly break the news that a balanced diet and regular exercise are, unfortunately, part of adulthood. Trixie needs an adopter who will help her slim down, get moving, and become the healthiest, happiest version of herself.

But don’t let her love of snacks fool you; Trixie is a really nice dog and gets along well with other dogs!

She does have a lump on her chest, but it has been biopsied and thankfully is just a benign lipoma (fatty tumor).

If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will happily join you for some slow, leisurely walks, then hopefully a bit faster and longer in the future… and then enthusiastically supervise you from the couch afterward, Trixie may be your girl!

She doesn’t need a diet buddy who will talk about getting healthy. She needs one who will actually put on their walking shoes.

Could you be Trixie’s new personal trainer, treat distributor (within reason), and forever human?

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information: dreamer951@aol.com

Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us. Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.
