Notes from Paws Across Pittsburgh
Meet Zipper! At just 1.5 years old and around 38 pounds, Zipper is a charming hound mix with a ton of potential who is ready to fill that empty spot in your family! This affectionate guy is a certified cuddle bug who loves staying close to his people, soaking up pets, and handing out kisses whenever he gets the chance. Zipper is a curious fellow who loves exploring the world, especially when treats are involved! He’s currently working on keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people and is making progress with his manners. Playtime is another favorite, and he’s happy with just about any toy, especially a good tennis ball. When it’s time to slow down, you can often find him stretched out in a sunny spot, enjoying a little sunshine and relaxation. Zipper has several great skills already under his belt. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he needs to head outside. He’s also learning to feel comfortable in his crate, goes in readily when there’s a treat waiting for him, and does well sleeping there overnight. He’s generally a quiet companion, though he’ll speak up to let you know when someone is at the door. Zipper is not currently fostered with any canine companions, but has been shown to do well with other dogs in the past, and should do well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily trade cuddles, kisses, and tennis-ball fun for a place in your heart and home, Zipper may be just the guy you’ve been waiting for. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family. Zipper is available for adoption on 11/1/2026 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144 KL#16182, so apply today at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt.
