Notes from Paws Across Pittsburgh

At 3 years old and around 15 pounds, Peaches is a precious little girl believed to be a Miniature Poodle, with a whole lot of love packed into her petite frame! Peaches is a true companion dog who wants to be wherever her person is. Whether you’re moving from room to room or settling in for some quiet time, chances are you’ll find this sweet girl right beside you. And if there’s room in your lap, even better! She’s happiest when she can be close to her people, making her a wonderful match for someone looking for a devoted little sidekick. Peaches is a pretty quiet girl who has already made great progress with her house training. She’s about 95% house-trained, with just a few accidents as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She’ll also go into her crate to relax, and she can continue learning that it’s a safe, comfortable place. On walks, she does fairly well on a leash, although a little practice will help her with pulling. She hasn’t shown much interest in toys in her foster home so far, but she’s still settling in and discovering what she enjoys. When it comes to other dogs, she has seemed okay during introductions but can become overstimulated, so slow introductions and a thoughtful approach will be important. We’re still learning about her compatibility with other pets. Peaches is looking for a home where being loved and included is part of everyday life. She would love a person who enjoys having a little furry companion nearby, welcomes cuddles on the couch, and doesn’t mind sharing a little personal space! If you’ve been wishing for a sweet, affectionate little dog to follow you through life—one room at a time—Peaches may be your perfect match!
