Baby Girl is a total lovebug. She wants to be where you are but can also hang out in her crate alone. This girl was in an overcrowded shelter for over two months. ABR stepped in on the last day before she was put down because the shelter was out of space. She was so skinny and starved for attention but all that has changed now. She is gaining weight and loving her new home life.

Baby Girl plays well with toys and likes to play ball in the yard. She has a medium to high prey drive so a fenced yard is a must (we can’t have her sprinting off after a squirrel ). She is house trained but will get into things if left unsupervised (you would too if you had been a bag of bones not knowing when or if your next meal was coming). Fortunately, she is also crate trained so keeping her safe when we aren’t home is easy.

She would be great as an only dog but could also go with a laid back male.

What happens next

  1. Contact American Bulldog Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to American Bulldog Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
