Meet Frankie – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home

Some dogs just have a way of stealing your heart, and Frankie is one of them. Frankie is an estimated 6–9 years old and weighed just 49 pounds in the shelter before he arrived. He's supposed to be a bigger guy and we've been working on beefing him up. He LOVES to eat! ,

This sweet older gentleman somehow found himself at the shelter, and he seems like a dog who once had a family, but now he's patiently waiting for someone to give him the second chance he deserves.

Frankie has a kind, gentle personality and is friendly with everyone he meets, both people and other dogs. He enjoys taking long walks, taking in all the sights and smells, and would love a fenced yard where he can safely explore at his own pace. After his adventures, he's happiest simply being close to his people. He is a hound dog and likes to get in a few good howls now and again.

Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and Frankie is no exception. He isn't looking for anything fancy—just a soft bed, a loving family, and a place where he can spend his golden years knowing he is safe and cherished. Frankie is best not in a crate. He does get extremely stressed in the crate and will refuse to eat.

If you've been thinking about opening your heart to a loyal companion, Frankie is waiting to meet you. Come give this wonderful boy the happy ending he so deserves.
