Notes from Crossing Paths Animal Rescue

This is Massey. He is a 1 1/2-year-old Labrador/ German Shepherd mix. There may be some other breeds in there of course. He's what my dad would call a Heinz 57 mix.... A little of this and a little of that. Massey weighs about 50-60 pounds and has short slick fur. He's a wonderful dog with a winning personality. He is house trained, crate trained and very loving. He spent the last 6 months to a year living in a one-bedroom apartment with another large dog and a cat. I think he would do fine with either, given proper introduction. He has not been around small children so I'm not sure how he is with that. Massey has a good bit of energy and loves to snuggle, like he will want to sleep with you if you let him. Unfortunately, his owner can no longer care for him due to poor financial decisions, so he is here with me, his foster mom. I've grown to love him, but he deserves more than kennel life. Perhaps his sweet face will speak volumes for him and touch your heart. (posted 2/15/26, HS) Adoption Fees for Seniors and those who have been in rescue for prolonged periods of time are reduced to $250.00 including transport-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **
