Notes from Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division

I also learned a lot about him in the time we shared together. He really wants a lot of love and attention and has no problem climbing up into your lap to get that. He’s very trainable and very smart. He was able to learn place, sit, lay down, off/down, and even stay. He struggled a little bit with no biting while playing, jumping on myself and guests, and was a leash puller. The gentle lead helped a lot with our walks. Making them more enjoyable for both of us. He really loved walks, fetch, and learning new tricks. He will climb around in the car if not restrained. He is crate trained, but will get a little mouthy and let you know that he doesn’t want to be in there. he is potty trained. We didn’t have any accidents per se. I think he might’ve marked his place The first day with me. He loves watching squirrels and will go after them given the opportunity. He seems like he wants to play with other dogs and he seems like he would be friendly doing so based on the interactions I saw with the neighbor dogs through the fence. I think he would do good in a home with another dog where he could play and let out some energy. He would make a great guard dog and would protect your home. He will likely need physical activity and training every day, but I think he has a lot a lot a lot of potential to be a perfect dog for someone.
