Notes from THE ROAD HOME ANIMAL PROJECT

Wally, born 5/20/26, weighs 20 lbs & is a Lab/hound mix. He likes other dogs, cats, and has been around kids. Wally is participating in the cell dog program which is where the dog stays at the prison with a dog handler working on basic obedience and house, crate, and leash training. It’s an amazing program! We will start taking apps but she will be in the program for a few weeks so please be patient. You can apply on our website: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html The adoption fee covers the neuter at our vet, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccinations (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings. If you are out of the area, you would be responsible to complete the vetting that has not been completed by the time of adoption. #12;***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. Please remember that we are 100 % entirely volunteers that have full-time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014Apply at https://theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form/

What happens next

  1. Contact THE ROAD HOME ANIMAL PROJECT using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to THE ROAD HOME ANIMAL PROJECT, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
