Notes from Animal Care Sanctuary

💀 Meet Doug Grave! ❤️ Don’t let the name fool you—this handsome 8-year-old, is very much alive and kicking! Doug is a gentle, friendly, loyal guy who’s ready to trade shelter life for a cozy bed, a loving family, and a lifetime supply of belly rubs. 🐾 Now, Doug’s no spring chicken, and his teeth have definitely seen better days! 🦷 He has some worn and missing teeth, and a few may need to be removed. He also has some swelling in his upper jaw that will need monitoring. Doug is also heartworm-positive, but he’s been treated and is on the road to recovery. He’ll need lifelong heartworm prevention, which costs around $10 a month. We know Doug comes with a little extra baggage, but who doesn’t? This loyal gentleman started out as a neglect case and deserves to spend his golden years knowing what it means to be safe, comfortable, and loved. He doesn’t need a perfect home or a perfect smile—just someone willing to give an older dog a chance. ❤️ Come meet Doug Grave! His name may sound like a Halloween decoration, but we promise he’s a real sweetheart who deserves a happily-ever-after, not a graveyard shift at the shelter! 💀🏡
