Notes from Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. Animal Rescue

Hi, I'm Gigi! Your Future Little Shadow ❤️

Hi there! My name is Gigi, and I'm a 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a big heart, a sweet personality, and a serious talent for making people fall in love with me.

My story didn't start out the way every dog deserves. I was rescued from a puppy mill, and now I'm learning all about the wonderful things life has to offer. Things like being loved, spending time with my people, getting yummy treats, and finally having a family of my very own!

I'm a friendly, lovable girl who wants to be wherever my people are. Going to the kitchen? I'll come along! Moving to the couch? Save me a spot! Need a little company? I'm your girl! You could say I'm a professional shadow dog. I just like being close to the people I love.

A few things you should know about me:

- **I'm a sweetheart!** I love attention and enjoy being around my people.

- **I've got a good start on my house manners.** I'm mostly housebroken, and I'm crate trained, although I'll be honest — the crate isn't my favorite place. I'd much rather be hanging out with you!

- **I'm a pretty good travel buddy.** I do well in the car, so adventures together sound wonderful.

- **I'm working on my leash-walking skills.** I'm still learning, so I'll need a little patience and encouragement as I figure it all out.

- **I get along well with other dogs.** Having canine company is just fine by me!

- **I think treats are fantastic.** If you're looking for a way to make me happy, a tasty little treat is a great place to start.

- **I come with my own built-in sound effects.** I snore. Loudly. So if you were hoping for a completely silent sleeping companion, I might have to disappoint you!

I'm still adjusting to life outside the puppy mill, and being away from my people can be hard for me. I can get upset when I'm left alone, so I'd love a home where someone is around often and can help me feel safe and secure. I'm good with children, too! We don't yet know how I'd do with cats, so that would need to be considered if you have feline family members.

My dream home is one where I can be part of the family, enjoy plenty of companionship, and keep learning at my own pace. I don't need a perfect person. I just need someone who understands that I'm learning what it means to be a loved family dog and is willing to help me along the way.

Maybe that's you? ❤️

If you're looking for a sweet little companion who will follow you around, make you smile, appreciate every treat, and serenade you with her adorable snores, I might just be your girl!

I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to find my forever family. Could you be the one I've been waiting for?

**Love and snuggles,**
