Notes from Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue

Meet Lola

Lola is a

petite black Pit Bull with a big personality and an even bigger heart!

She is a fun, curious girl who gets excited about the world around her and loves experiencing new things.

Lola is an active girl who

enjoys long walks

and exploring with her person. She also absolutely

loves playing in the sprinkler!

She is very social and curious.

Chickens, rabbits, squirrels, and other dogs

can all catch her attention and get her excited. She will need a family who understands her enthusiasm and is willing to continue working with her on appropriate introductions, impulse control, and calm behavior around exciting distractions.

Because Lola gets excited very quickly,

a home with older children is recommended

. Older kids who understand how to remain calm and follow directions will be the best fit for her.

One of Lola’s biggest challenges is

separation anxiety

. She becomes anxious when her person is not around, so she is looking for a home that can help her build confidence and learn that being alone is okay. A patient family who can provide consistency, structure, and gradual independence will be important for her.

Despite this challenge, Lola is a

sweet, energetic, playful, and curious girl who loves being with her people

. She is looking for a family who will give her the patience, guidance, exercise, and positive training she needs to continue growing into the wonderful companion she can be.

Lola would do best with:

Older children

who understand her energetic personality

A patient and understanding family

Someone willing to work with her separation anxiety

A family who enjoys

long walks and outdoor activities

Continued training and confidence building

Slow, controlled introductions to other animals

Structure, consistency, exercise, and positive attention

Lola may be petite, but she has plenty of personality!

She is ready to find her person and a family who will help her learn, grow, and enjoy life to the fullest.

We will sponsor training for her once we find her a foster.

  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
