Notes from Humane Association of CNY

Introducing Petey! Dark and handsome, Petey is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart. When you first meet him, he may hang back for a few minutes. Petey is a shy boy who needs a little time to feel safe, and he is more hesitant around men than women; but once he realizes you're kind, you can see the sweet dog underneath beginning to shine. He loves affection and will happily lean right into you while you offer it. Petey is already showing us what a good boy he is. He hasn't minded being around other dogs or cats, and each day we're helping him build the confidence he deserves. We know that with a patient adopter, a little encouragement, and lots of love, Petey is going to blossom. Here at HumaneCNY he has been enjoying spending time his new buddy Tigger. We can see from this relationship that he would thrive in a home where he has canine companionship. If you've ever watched a shy dog learn to trust, you know just how rewarding that journey can be. Petey is ready for someone willing to take that journey with him. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal.
