Notes from SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue
*Name: Hope *Age: ~5 years *Current Weight: 60lbs *Rescued from: South Carolina *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Hope, a survivor with a heart of gold. Hope was abandoned by her original family when they moved out and left her behind, chained outside of the house. She was left to survive on nothing but hope. When she was found by the people sent to clean the property, she was near death from severe starvation and dehydration. She was just skin and bones, but still with a strong spirit. A fighter, this poor girl broke many teeth probably trying to chew her chain off, to no luck. Since being rescued last year, she’s been on a journey of healing, both physically and emotionally. Hope is a free spirit that loves attention and yearns for companionship. While Hope can be fearful or timid at first, with patience and kindness, she will love you and be a loyal, loving companion. And once she's comfortable with you, she loves her people fiercely. Hope gets along with other dogs who are easy going and friendly. She's a bit too interested in cats, so we think she would do best as an only pet in the house who is able to socialize with other dogs outside of her home. She’s currently living down in South Carolina and is patiently waiting for us to find a foster or adoptive family to welcome her in up north. Today, Hope isn’t just surviving, she’s determined to thrive. She’s looking for a home that understands her past, celebrates her strength, will be patient and understanding, and gives her the peaceful, loving life she’s always deserved.
