Notes from Rescue Dogs Rock, Inc

Citrus (TX) is the kind of dog who makes you pause, smile, and think, wow… this girl is a miracle with a sense of humor. Once upon a time, she was wandering rural Texas, surviving on whatever she could find — including rocks. Yes, actual rocks. Citrus was discovered on Citrus Street (because of course she was), dangerously thin and fighting for her life. One eye was so damaged it had to be removed, but her remaining eye? Perfect, bright, and full of “I’m ready for my new life” sparkle. Today, Citrus is a 7yearold, 58pound Pitbull mix who has fully embraced her softgirl era. She’s house trained, great with people, dogs, and cats, and has mastered the art of being a professional couch potato. Her foster says her favorite hobby is snuggling — and honestly, she considers it a fulltime job. Citrus is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s tucked right beside you, soaking up all the love she missed out on for far too long. She’d thrive with a family or a single person, as long as she gets what she wants most: warmth, safety, and endless cuddles. If Citrus (TX) sounds like your kind of quirky, resilient, snuggleobsessed sweetheart, please apply to adopt her at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. All pets are current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Citrus's adoption fee is $450.
