Notes from Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue
Meet Wally! ❤️
A handsome, smart, lovable boy who deserves his FOREVER happily ever after!
WALLY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! ❤️
After being returned to the rescue through absolutely no fault of his own, Wally has found himself back in boarding. And while he's being cared for, boarding is no substitute for the comfort, stability, and love of a home.
Wally has already experienced so much uncertainty in his life, and we desperately want to get this sweet boy back into a home where he can relax, enjoy a routine, and be someone's loyal companion.
Even if you're not ready to adopt, fostering Wally could make a world of difference for him! ❤️
Wally's journey hasn't been an easy one. Originally found as a stray in heartbreaking condition, we may never know what his life was like before becoming a Diamond. What we DO know is that this boy has come such a long way, and he has so much love left to give!
Let's talk about what makes Wally so special! ❤️
Smart as a whip! Wally is an incredibly intelligent boy who has received training and knows how to listen! He's eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. This handsome guy is VERY food motivated, making continued training both fun and rewarding.
A gentleman at home! Wally is both housebroken and crate trained. He understands routines and does well with structure, consistency, and clear expectations.
Strong but oh-so-smart! Wally is a strong boy, so he needs someone comfortable handling his strength and continuing to reinforce the training he's already received. He enjoys his walks and would love a person who appreciates an active, intelligent companion.
A lover of his people! Wally absolutely LOVES human companionship! He gets so excited to meet new people and have visitors. He's affectionate, enjoys snuggles, and loves being included in whatever his humans are doing. He also appreciates having a little space to relax when he's ready.
Playtime is a work in progress! When Wally first came to us, he didn't even know what toys were! Watching him discover the simple joys of being a dog has been incredibly rewarding. He's still figuring some things out, and that's part of his charm!
Your one and only! Wally needs to be the ONLY PET in his forever home. He deserves a home where he can relax, thrive, and soak up all the love and attention without having to share his space with other animals.
A loyal companion! Wally loves his people so much that he sometimes struggles when they leave. We like to say he has a little FOMO (fear of missing out)! A predictable routine, patience, and reassurance will help him continue building confidence.
Wally's ideal home?
A loving, committed person or family who understands that even the best dogs need consistency, patience, and guidance. Someone who will appreciate his intelligence, continue working with him, and give him the stability he deserves. Wally has already learned so much, and with the right person, there's no telling what this smart cookie can accomplish!
Wally has been let down by circumstances beyond his control, but he hasn't lost his ability to love or his excitement for life.
❤️ Wally needs someone to give him a chance!
He doesn't need perfection. He needs patience, consistency, love, and someone who sees the amazing dog he truly is.
Right now, our biggest priority is getting Wally OUT of boarding and INTO a home.
Whether you can offer him a temporary place to land as a foster or the forever home he's been waiting for, you could be the person who changes everything for this deserving boy.
Wally has already been through enough. Let's get him back where he belongs — in a HOME!
Please consider fostering, adopting, or sharing Wally's story. His next chapter is waiting to be written, and we need your help to make it a happy one! ❤️
