Notes from Animal Help Alliance
Rockwell & Sterling are still looking for their forever homes. ❤️
We were able to get some better photos and videos of them while they were boarding this past week, so we’re putting their faces back out there and hoping the right people see them.
Both were adopted from Animal Help Alliance several years ago. Changes in their family’s life mean they now need new homes, and they are still living with their adoptive family while we help find the right placement.
Sterling is the brindle female, 5 years old and about 55–60 lbs. She is loving, cuddly, great with people, children and other dogs, walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, is food motivated and rarely barks. She can chew shoes or socks when left alone and sometimes needs convincing to come back inside after sunbathing. ☀️
Rockwell, aka Rocky, is the black-and-white male, 7 years old and about 40–45 lbs. He loves cuddles, toys, treats, belly rubs and car rides. He knows “sit,” comes when called, does well meeting new people and may bark when someone knocks or be protective of his home. He needs thoughtful introductions to other dogs, pulls on leash and may cry for a few minutes when crated before settling.
While they would prefer to stay together, they will also be okay living apart. Finding them safe, loving homes—together OR separately—is our first priority. We do not want either dog’s chance at a home to depend on finding one family able to take both.
Please share and help us get these two seen. ❤️

What happens next
- Contact Animal Help Alliance using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
- They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Animal Help Alliance, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
