Dorothy *UNDERDOGZ
Australian Kelpie / Mixed (long coat) · Senior · Female · Large · Sparks, NV
Notes from Grandmas Barn Rescue and Sanctuary
Why is Dorothy one of our UnderDogZ? Not because there's anything wrong with her—but because she's a senior. Sadly, older dogs are often overlooked simply because of their age, even though they make some of the most loving, loyal companions. Dorothy doesn't know she's been waiting longer than most. She just wakes up each day excited to love her people and hopeful that today might be the day her forever family finds her. We know the perfect home is out there—we just need to help them find each other.
Meet Dorothy! ❤️
Dorothy is an 8-year-young sweetheart who proves that age is just a number. She's affectionate, well-mannered, and loves being part of the action, whether it's going for a walk, exploring the outdoors, or simply spending time with her people.
After experiencing hardship, Dorothy has embraced her second chance with an incredible spirit. She's thriving in foster care, gets along well with other animals, and is ready to find the family she's been waiting for.
Like many senior dogs, Dorothy is often overlooked—but don't let that fool you. Senior dogs have so much love to give, and Dorothy is no exception. She's loyal, grateful, and ready to spend her golden years making wonderful memories with her forever family.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who will reward your kindness with unwavering devotion, Dorothy may be your perfect match.
